He led with a rare, quiet humility, choosing to lift others through tangible acts of compassion and unwavering integrity. Though deeply missed, his legacy of selfless leadership remains a guiding light for the community he so dearly loved.

"Rotarian Mulu is a member of Rotary club of Addis Ababa who is the first Rotary club that introduces Rotary to Ethiopia. Big thanks to the mentors in the club, adding her strong personal & professional leadership skills, after serving in different positions at her club, she became the President of her club back in the Rotary year 2017/18."
Rotarian Birhane Asfaw is a visionary leader defined by her refusal to accept injustice. As a pioneer for women’s education in Ethiopia, she co-founded the Inter-African Committee, leading a 27-year global campaign against FGM. Her advocacy across 80 countries shaped the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, earning her a Nobel Prize nomination. Embodying "Service Above Self," her legacy remains a roadmap for the fight for human dignity.
